When you eat, you eat with all your senses. So the food should be good enough to satisfy all your senses. This is the philosophy the Hotwanis believe in when it comes to preparing food for their customers.
Veena and Rajkumar Hotwani, who run Dadu’s Kitchen
A place known for some delicious Sindhi Chicken, Sindhi Mutton and many other varieties of Indian food, have been serving home-cooked meals to many of their patrons for the past three years.
The Hotwanis decided to shift base from Mumbai to Pune three years ago only to pursue their passion of making food for all generations. Today, they are not just running their home-cooked food business really well, they are also creating a strong base of satisfied customers in Pune.

“We believe food is beyond just your taste buds. When you see the food, you first taste it with your eyes. Then you smell, so you taste it with your nose. Then you touch and feel the food before finally eating it and tasting it through your tongue. The food should be so good that all your senses should feel full after eating it,” says Veena, who is 68-year-old.
The food industry was not something that the Hotwanis were always familiar with. After retiring from their business of readymade garments, the couple decided to follow their passion of cooking food, especially Sindhi non-veg delicacies.
“Since years, I was told that I was born to cook. I used to get compliments for the food I used to make for our parties. My families, relatives and friends were all fond of my cooking,” Veena says.
The passion grew with time as Rajkumar, 70, too loved to cook.
“We both like to cook, so after retiring from our business, we decided to shift to Pune and start a kitchen of our own where we can cook for others,” Veena adds.
Dadu’s Kitchen has been associated with the PinkAprons for more than 2 years, and the couple couldn’t be more satisfied with the association.
“We have been receiving many orders through PinkAprons, including for house parties and weddings. We also have subscription based customers, who take daily meals from us,” Veena adds.
